SUNY Broome held a 10-8 lead after the first quarter. The visiting Saints pushed ahead for a slight 22-20 lead at the half behind a 14-10 advantage in the second quarter. The third quarter of play was where the Saints began to pull away, outscoring the Hornets by 10 in the quarter.
The North Country defense was effective in limiting the SUNY Broome offensive production. The Hornets shot 23.1% from the field and were just 3-26 (11.5%) from three-point range. SUNY Broome was also 3-10 at the free throw line in the loss.
Adrianna Finta picked up 10 points, six rebounds, three assists, and three steals in the contest. Nnyala Stark had seven points and 11 rebounds while Zephora Brouillette had seven points, four rebounds, and three blocks.
