Women's Basketball Earns Second Straight Win

The win marked the second in a row against a conference opponent, as the Hornets defeated Tompkins Cortland CC on the road on January 11.
A 16-4 advantage in the second quarter provided a runway for the Hornets to separate en route to the win. SUNY Broome trailed 13-11 after the first quarter, but then took a 27-17 lead into halftime.
From there, the Hornets outscored the Lakers by two in the third quarter and the teams scored even totals in the fourth quarter.
Adrianna Finta scored a game-high 19 points and added seven rebounds, four assists, and eight steals. Maggie Burlison was next with 17 points, five rebounds, and two steals. Alyvia Heath had 11 points, seven rebounds, and three steals. Juliana Turner secured a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.
The Hornets improved to 3-6 on the season with the win.
