The men's basketball team fell 83-69 to Genesee CC in a Mid-State Athletic Conference (MSAC) matchup on Saturday.
SUNY Broome and Genesee played two competitive halves, with the Cougars outscoring the Hornets by seven in each. The first half was especially tight before Genesee began to separate for the eventual seven-point lead at halftime.
Dejon Williams rattled off 26 points on 10-19 shooting and 5-9 on three-pointers and added three assists. Wyeth Lamont was another double-digit scorer with 10 points, two rebounds, and three steals. Xavier Thomas-Davis had eight points and seven rebounds.
SUNY Broome fell to 4-10 overall and 3-3 in conference play with the loss.
