The Hornets fell to the Mohawk Valley Hawks in a road contest played in Utica on Wednesday by a final score of 7-1. The host team opened up the scoring just a little over a minute into the match off a goal by Kylee Rickard. Arianna Michitti got the Hornets on the board with the lone goal for the visitors in th 24th minute with the assist going to Abbey Augur. Broome trailed 3-1 at the half but the second half belonged to the NJCAA's 3rd ranked Hawks, outscoring the Hornets 4-0, two of those goals came off the foot of Rickard for the hat trick. Mohawk out shot Broome 20-12 and held a 5-2 advantage in corner kicks. Alisa Cherednichenko shared the keeper duties with Kayla Wyckoff, the former notched 10 saves on 16 shots on goal in 55 minutes while the latter had 2 saves on 3 shots on goal.
