Men's Soccer Falls 4-1 To SUNY ESF On Sophomore Day

In the Hornets' final home game of the season, the team honored its sophomores before kickoff: Austin Galley, Charles Larrabee, Jaiden Insixiengmay, Ibrahim Berte, Corey Cottrell, Jacob Sansom, Avery Palumbo, Muhammad Abbas, and Johnathon Miller.
The positive mood of Sophomore Recognition carried over into the first half of play, as the Hornets were the first team to get on the board thanks to a goal from Mario Moretin in the 38th minute. Just four minutes later, the Mighty Oaks tied the contest at 1-1 and that remained the score entering halftime.
SUNY ESF ended up striking for two goals in a span of two minutes, in the 54th and 56th minutes, to flip the game in its favor. The Mighty Oaks tacked on a fourth goal in the 80th minute.
The Hornets registered seven shots in the contest, four of which were on target. Larrabee led the shooting barrage with three shots. Berte, Cottrell, Sansom, and Moretin each had one shot on goal. Berte's was a penalty kick attempt.
Hornets goalkeeper Andriy Grave made three saves in the loss.
