Nevan Doubleday set three new school records this past weekend over the course of the two-day Cortland Classic track & field invitational hosted by SUNY Cortland.
On April 17, Doubleday ran the 100 meter dash in 11.62 seconds and was a member of the 4x400 meter relay team which set a school record with a time of 3:36.96, besting the previous record of 3:41.58 set by the 2025 team of which Doubleday was also a member.
Continuing his excellent weekend, April 18 marked a day where Doubleday repeatedly outdid himself, literally. Both records he broke were ones he had set this 2026 season just two weeks agao.

Maaz Hussain joined Doubleday and Castro on the 4x400 team, as did Avery Palumbo. Palumbo also ran a 1:04.32 in the 400 meter hurdles on the 18th.
Kevin Montoya also reached a new personal best with a distance of 7.71 in the shot put. He threw 19.21 meters in the discus.
Pharvensky Pamphil jumped 5.53 meters in the long jump on Friday the 17th and then followed that up with a 10th place finish in the triple jump with a distance of 12.48 meters on Saturday the 18th.
In a packed weekend of events and SUNY Broome participants, Jacob Quail also ran the 10K in 44:56.52 and Thomas Strong ran the 100 meter dash in 11.90 seconds and jumped 5.18 meters in the long jump.
