Broome overcame a frustrating first half to record a satisfying 4-0 win on the road Saturday against Niagara County CC.
Broome overcame a frustrating first half to record a satisfying 4-0 win on the road Saturday against Niagara County CC. Broome played well in the first half, recording 13 shots, but couldn't find the back of the net.
Having found their "finishing boots" in the second half, they proceeded to put four unanswered goals in the net. Ismar Turkovic opened the scoring nine minutes into the second half off an assist from Pedro Marcano. Turkovic returned the favor to Marcano for the second goal. Thomas Gilroy got on the scoreboard in the 62nd minute of the match, assisted by Bennett Miller, and Jacob Howard completed the scoring in the 84th minute with James Parnaby assisting. Adam Burns saved a PK for Broome late in the second half to earn his third win of the season.
The Hornets are on the road Wednesday in Utica for a 2:00 P.M. soccer match against Mohawk Valley CC.
