Nevan Doubleday from the men's track & field team was selected to be the SUNY Broome Student-Athlete of the Week for the week of March 30 through April 5, 2026. The men's track & field team opened its 2026 season at the Red Dragon Open at SUNY Cortland on April 3. At the invitational, Doubleday posted two personal bests and set two school records. Doubleday ran a 23.26 in the 200 meter dash, which set a personal best time and a new school record, surpassing the previous record of 23.78 seconds set in 2025. Additionally, Nevan's time met the qualifying standard for the NJCAA National Championship meet. Nevan also finished 10th overall in the 400 meter dash with a time of 53.96 seconds, which set a new personal best and school best. Doubleday had owned the previous SUNY Broome record of 56.00 flat.
