vs OCC

The women's soccer team dropped a tough match to MSAC rival Onondaga CC by a slim 3-2 margin on Wednesday afternoon.   After a sluggish first half, and trailing 2-0 at halftime, the Hornets rallied but came up just short on the losing end of a 3-2 final.  Brianna Wieszczinski and Lindsey Morelli scored the first goals of the game for the Lazers (6-4) in the first half.

Nicole Madison (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) scored the Hornets' (6-3-1) first goal at 62:12 from the first of two assists by Allison O'Shea (Marathon, NY/Marathon) with a cross inside the box. McKenna Williams (Chenango Forks, NY/Chenango Forks) fought hard for the second goal after receiving a thru ball from O'Shea.   Claire Manning scored the game-winner for the host team.

Broome held a slim margin in shots on goal, 14-13 while Onondaga took the lead in corner kicks, 5-1.  Both keepers had 6 saves each for their respective teams, Kara Knickerbocker (Endicott, NY/Union-Endicott) for the Hornets and Marissa Curtis for the Lazers.

Broome will host the NJCAA's #2 ranked Erie Kats one week from this Friday at Alumni Field on campus.
